Elle reminds me a little of the earth bender blind girl from the Last Airbender cartoon series. She knows she is THAT good and won't take crap from anyone. Although Elle is a great deal more reserved in speech. Great scenes! Enjoyed every word of it. Especially 'shrugged smugly'.

I loved the Avatar series! And I loved Toph! And, yup, Misty knows she's good. Logan and Tom's gauntlet was a laugh for her. She's been trained under very harsh circumstances, and she's Teleran, a superior being from the most powerful of all the other Elder Races. 😉 That's what she's been taught to think anyway. And she doesn't like to be insulted. And Joel and buddies accusing her of cheating was insulting.

Oh boy, Logan certainly did miss judge Elle. All of the family, including Luke I think, have made the mistake of thinking Elle is virtually one of them, and the grand mistake of believing she is an adolescent in body and mind, as compared to the two boys. I don't think that is the case now, from some of the internal dialog. And she took the occasion to be like a sparing match with significantly inferior training opponents. And she is used to training being life and death or at least being physically very high stakes. And now they have a very sophisticated warrior of long experience who sees them as inferior I think. The worst thing is that the military just got a good taste of how capable she is and there will be a significant conflict over control of her. Maybe I am way out on a limb here but I don't think so...🤞

Oh boy indeed! The guys are still very much in the dark as to what Elle is capable of here. They have only scratched the surface and are pretty much - lulled by her appearance. Understandably so, anyone who does not have access to her inner dialogue, like we do, would be, and that's the point, and what makes her so dangerous. And it's exactly as you say, the concern is that the PG now has multiple eyewitness accounts, first hand experience from loyal soldiers, of the extent of her power. So this can go very wrong, first of all they have grounds to detain her, assault, second she has shown once again that she can manipulate raw energy, which according to what we know about them, means probable conscription. Of course she's a minor still, which could limit their influence, at least until she gets a bit bigger, or shows more power, but we've already seen that the PG has pretty significant legal and political influence that I probably won't delve into at all since I find that kind of thing boring, it's just part of the concept. And I know that's another peek under the hood. Ugh! See, don't get me started.

I'm not saying that is what's going to happen or not happen. I'm saying it was a possibility as a motivation for the direction for the story. So...

I'm working very hard on Friday's episode, hoping to have more for you soon.

Lol...but I like to get you going Jenny. Every time I do I feel like I've put another trophy on the wall! But now you will be on your guard and the hunt will be twice as hard. 🫢 Oops

I'm really enjoying the internal self-reflections that you are starting to expose with your characters Jenny! Excellent release!

That's the planetary guard for you. Brawn over brain and easily butthurt. :)

That was well written, down to the greater beings shouldn't interact with lesser beings.

I personally think Tom should have bowed out and let Elle clean house. She wasn't going to kill them, just render them unconscious. They would have got what was coming to them.

In doing so, whatever progress they had made with Elle, is now gone.

They had better be careful. She's a pistol.

He should have hey? She would probably have done some more damage, but you're right, we don't really see Misty as a killer, though who knows about her past.

Thanks for the compliment by the way, and I'm glad you enjoyed. I was worried Misty might be coming across as a little bigoted, and less likeable as a result. But surely you see why Tom had to do what he did? Problem is there were witnesses. Same reason Luke knocked Logan out with Dennis. Realize he didn't step in until she started building power, specially keeping in mind the kind of power our little girl can wield, and how careful the guys have to be about showing theirs around the PG. I'm sure you'll agree that, what Tom did was nothing more than the situation required.
