This is my headspace. My safe zone and my go-to. This is where I find refuge from the world and all it throws at this lowly introvert.

When life gets you down, spend time in your head, unless you’re scared of your own thoughts. Then put on some music or read and spend time in someone else’s.

Welcome to your premium ticket to the inside of my brain. I will do my best to make sure you enjoy your stay, but if you’re new you will probably need to do some catching up.

Here, I’ll embed the first post so you can get a taste:

What is Bottled Embers?

Well, embers in a bottle. Like when you refuse to acknowledge and process your emotions, they get hotter and angrier until one day the bottle bursts and it’s a big explosion and just catastrophe! Don’t do that.

This is a story about a little girl and a couple of guys and just a bit of adventure. No commentary on social issues or politics or anything. In the beginning, it was a way to process those bottled embers that burned holes in my brain. Now it is just a story, a fantasy, that I thought someone else might also get a kick out of, so I will share a little, now and then.

Why subscribe?

Subscribe to get full access to the newsletter and website. Never miss an update. Oh, and it will encourage me to keep writing. It would prove, to me, that this thing that has been driving me crazy for years is actually worthwhile and maybe help me to share a little more of it, a little more often.

This is just a taste of what’s in store if you stick around. You can also log in to the website to read the full archives and other posts as they are published, which will usually be on Tuesdays and/or Fridays.

Not to toot my own horn, but it really is much better if you follow from the start, or if you enjoy being confused, and/or disoriented - hey no judgment. Please dive in.

A story for the avid fantasizers like me out there, since there is nothing in the real world that interests me half as much as what goes on in my own head... Here you'll find my fiction series about Misty, Logan and Luke. Think StarTrek meets DBZ.
